In our seven-hectare Mediterranean-scrub park you will find our private beach, sea-water swimming pool, tennis courts, fitness room, bowling, bicycles, massage parlour, playground and other sports like sailing, diving, windsurfing, trekking and mountain biking. Our staff will also book excursions for you. Spend a relaxing day beside the pool and enjoy a refreshing Summer Cocktail and a luxurious snack which will be served directly to your sun lounger in the exclusive Mediterranean Oasis. It is possible to organise swimming lessons for adults and children with authorized Italian Swimming Federation instructors. A tiny gem which can be seen from the provincial road for Marciana Marina, Spartaia is on a small bay on the larger Procchio Gulf. The sandy beach, surrounded by green Mediterranean scrub, runs down to the turquoise and emerald-green sea. The name comes from the Sparto plant which grows on the dunes and on the edges of the sandy beach. The Hotel provides you with a private cabin, beach umbrellas and deckchairs for your comfort. The gym takes on a new dimension in a unique corner lost in greenery. It has weights, cyclette, and a treadmill and you can freshen up in the nearby sea-water swimming pool. And from this summer we are proud to offer also the Power-Plate machine!!! Even on holidays you won’t have to skip your tennis routine thanks to the two tennis courts in our Mediterranean-scrub park. It is possible to organise lessons for adults and children with qualified instructors. Thanks to the island’s mild climate in spring and autumn it is ideal for those who like to practise extreme sports and those who prefer more tranquil activities. Everyone will find some kind of outdoor activity in the island’s blue waters or on its rocky coastline. Riding, golf, kayaking, mountain bikinig, diving, trekking and sailing are just some of the sports guests can enjoy. Our concierge will be happy to provide you with all the information you need, help you to rent equipment and to book excursions with qualified personnel. The San Giovanni Spa, opposite the Gulf of Portoferraio is just 10 minutes from the Hotel Désirée and offers a wide selection of treatments: from anti-stress to anti-smog and from cellulitis treatments to slimming programmes in general. Here in the hotel we have set up a relaxation and wellness area where we offer a selection of massages and have a corner with light-fitness equipment.

The hotel consists of a central unit with the restaurant, bar, reception and rooms and two buildings with family suites: the Walewska and the Paolina (right on the sea.) All the rooms and suites have air conditioning, a colour TV, minibar, panoramic terrace and direct telephone.

The rooms are in three separate buildings which are close to one another. The Dèsirée with classic, superior and deluxe rooms; the Paolina with apartments which are ideal for families and the Walewska with family apartments. The Désirée is the hotel’s central building and also houses the reception, the restaurant and the main bar. It has Classic (garden or mountain view), Superior (sea view) and Deluxe rooms. The Paolina is next to the main building and has junior suites and apartments for families on its three floors. All the rooms have wonderful sea views. The Walewska building is a short walk from the main building and has family apartments on two floors.
